Libraries Committee

The Libraries Committee monitors Library development and policies governing Library management; consults with and advises dean of Libraries on priorities and collections.

2023-24 Assignments

1. Consider the role of the committee and develop recommendations regarding how it can best serve as an effective and consequential point of contact and collaboration between the libraries, the BFC, and the faculty as a whole.
2. Work with library leadership to develop policy, practice, and capacity to comply with emerging data accessibility requirements.
3. Work with library leadership to develop concrete strategies, including any associated policy proposals or “best practice” recommendations, to make IUB’s collective scholarly impact more apparent, discoverable, and easily tracked (e.g. Would it be appropriate to mandate, or even just strongly recommend, that all researchers associated with IUB begin using ORCID if they do not already?)
