Long Range Planning Committee

The Long Range Planning Committee systematically monitors the Bloomington campus environment affecting teaching, research, and faculty status and alerts the Bloomington Faculty Council to significant strategic issues that can be expected to affect faculty interests.

2023-24 Assignments

  1. Liaise actively with the IUB 2030 Executive Leadership Team regarding medium- and longer-term implementation of the campus strategic plan. It would be especially helpful if members of the LRPC could begin formulating specific committee charges now related to any matters associated with the strategic plan implementation plan that are likely to come to before the Council for consideration during AY 24-25 or AY 25-26.
  2. Continue proposing longer-term institutional goals from the faculty’s perspective, even, or perhaps especially, goals that exceed the seven-year time frame associated with the current strategic plan.
