Pete Kollbaum, OD, PhD, FAAO, is Associate Dean for Research, and Director of the Borish Center for Ophthalmic Research at the Indiana University (IU) School of Optometry. His research and teaching are in the areas of contact lenses and optics. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Optometry and is currently the President of the American Academy of Optometry Foundation. On campus he currently serves on the Budgetary Affairs Committee, as an alternate on the Faculty Board of Review and Faculty Mediation Committees, OVPR Advisory Committee, and the Lab Animal Resources Fiscal Advisory Committee. In 2018-2019 he was selected for the Big10 Academic Alliance Departmental Executive Officers program. He has previously served on the Technology Policy, Research Affairs, CREM, and (former) Foundation Relations Committees, as well as a member of the BFC.
