Benefits Committee

The Benefits Committee consults with the Director of Benefits at IUB to understand and inform administrative decisions at the campus level. It also surveys and represents the needs of faculty. 

2026-2027 Assignments

1. Work with IU HR and Office of the VPFAA on a chart of healthcare, retirement, wellness, and other benefits that are currently available to IUB faculty; distribute to BFC representatives (timing and format to be determined in consultation with the Executive Committee). 

2. Identify changes in benefits reported from Board of Trustees minutes and IU HR open enrollment/annual benefits documents.  

3. Work with IU HR to benchmark benefits to peer institutions and informally meet with faculty across units to gather feedback on benefits. 

4. Schedule a meeting with Budget leaders on general budget information, including timing, decision-making, and new budget technology.
