Most of the Bloomington Faculty Council’s work and the drafting of policies is accomplished by committees. Committees gather information, deliberate, and communicate directly with relevant administrators. Currently, the BFC maintains 15 standing committees, on topics ranging from educational policies to long-range planning.
The BFC bylaws stipulate that committees are expected to meet at least once a month, and some committees, such as Educational Policies and Faculty Affairs, choose to meet more frequently.
All committees except the Nomination, Budgetary Affairs, and Executive committees are required to post minutes. Rosters, meeting schedules, minutes, and other relevant information can be found on each committee's page.
