Constitution and Rules Committee

The Constitution and Rules Committee (CARC) is chaired by the BFC Parliamentarian, who also sits on the Executive Committee and the University Faculty Council. CARC oversees the BFC Constitution (BL-ACA-D8) and Bylaws (BL-ACA-D9), informs BFC leaders on constitutional procedures, and tracks policymaking at the university and campus level.

2025-2026 Assignments

1. Propose necessary updates or additions to the Constitution of the Bloomington Faculty, BFC Bylaws, or other policies related to the operation of the Council. 
2. Perform a current inventory of policies and recommend which should be reviewed by existing standing committees. 
3. Perform specific review of the bylaws and constitution to reflect changes in the organizational structure and to align with changes at the university and trustee level. 
4. Others presented by the committee for review and approval.
