International Affairs Committee

In collaboration with the Campus Policy Committee, the International Affairs Committee (IAC) develops and refines policies related to international programs. It also advocates for the needs of international students and faculty within the bounds of state and federal laws. 

2026-2027 Assignments

  1. In collaboration with Research Affairs (RAC) and Faculty Affairs (FAC), identify policies that seem to be creating barriers for faculty to collaborate with international partners.
  2. In collaboration with OIS, investigate how federal rulemaking as well as SEA 76 and SEA 256 (state laws passed in 2026) may be impacting hiring, recruitment, admissions, and/or funding for faculty, post-docs, and graduate students at IUB.
