As a body of volunteers, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) works with administrators to advocate for the needs of diverse faculty, staff, and students and serves as a clearinghouse for questions about internal and external resources.
2026-2027 Assignments
- Keep a record of concerns brought to the DEIC by faculty, students, and staff and report trends to the BFC before the end of the academic year, including the context of any changes in policies and/or laws.
- Record impacts and changes to faculty experiences as documentation/storytelling for the future, focusing on ethical considerations.
- Collaborate with Faculty Affairs (FAC), International Affairs (IAC), and/or Student Affairs (SAC) to identify any populations at IUB that might be struggling to get adequate support from the university.
