Educational Policies Committee

The Educational Policies Committee develops campus policies concerning teaching, curriculum, student information, and related areas and monitors and consults with administrative offices connected with enrollment.

2024-25 Assignments

  1. Consult with OVPUE to receive updates on the pilot program for the First Year Experience course and experiential learning experiences to identify next steps.
  2. Review and propose changes to BL-ACA-H21, IU Bloomington Academic Calendar Principles to reflect current practice.
  3. Continue work on reviewing IUB campus-level policies on grades and grading (BL-ACA-H 30, H32, H34) and make proposed revisions to align with ACA-66, Grades and Grading.
  4. Collaborate with SAC and FAC to gather additional feedback on the OCQ Study to then synthesize recommendations in a report to the BFC.
  5. Consult with OVPUE on the status of bulletins at the graduate and undergraduate levels to ensure students have access to policies and procedures that inform their academic journey.
