Faculty Mediation Committee
The Faculty Mediation Committee serves all faculty and librarians by hearing their concerns and supporting efforts towards informal resolution of grievances. It can also support faculty who are developing a case for the Faculty Board of Review. Members hold office from the first day of May and serve staggered, two-year terms. The committee’s organization and procedures are governed by BL-ACA-D22 Grievance and Review Procedures of the Bloomington Faculty.

Faculty Board of Review
The scope of the Faculty Board of Review (FBR) is governed by ACA-17 and BL-ACA-D22. Its purpose is limited to hearing appeals of sanctions for alleged misconduct and other adverse administrative decisions, including promotion denials and terminations. Members hold office from the first day of May and serve staggered, two-year terms.

Faculty Misconduct Review Committee
The scope of the Faculty Misconduct Review Committee (FMRC) is governed by BOT-15 and BL-ACA-D27. The committee serves as an oversight body in situations where faculty may be sanctioned for misconduct. While it has no authority to impose or negate sanctions, it can help to ensure due process by offering advocates to faculty, discussing trends around campus, and independently verifying facts.

Student Academic Appointee Board of Review
The scope and procedures of the Student Academic Appointee Board of Review (SAABR) are governed by BL-ACA-D24. The board, which includes student representatives from GPSG, reviews graduate student grievances and complaints related to the terms and conditions of their academic appointments. Members of SAABR are elected to one-year terms.

Athletics Committee
The Athletics Committee participates in the oversight of intercollegiate athletics programs. In collaboration with the UFC Policy Executive Committee and the Bloomington Campus Policy Committee, the Athletics Committee develops and refines policies related to student athletes. It also consults with administrators regarding compliance, personnel issues, budgets, and planning strategies. The structure and scope of this committee is governed by BL-ACA-D30.
